At this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the crucial step is to contain the spread of the virus by maintaining the required hygiene standards. A large section of our country, the vulnerable and downtrodden communities have little or no access to the basic sanitary standards. We are trying to provide “basic hygiene kits” which will help thousands of poor families, abandoned elderlies, urban slum dwellers and many others who are devoid of the very basic sanitary equipment. We seek funds to acquire and distribute these kits as well.
We saw an unprecedented “walk back” of thousands of migrant workers to their homes in villages from far-away cities where work has dried up for them due to the lock-down. Uttishtha Foundation as a team has come out to help them in these hard times. We are constantly providing food in the form of “Dry Ration” to these families.
We have already extended our helping to over a hundred families in Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Noida and Dwarka (New Delhi). Until this date, we are getting calls from West Bengal, Mumbai and Pune (Maharashtra) and other cities for help. We would like to request for your monetary support that would allow us to help people suffering at the remote locations and hence provide our services to the humankind.
